Crime Victims United of California, an organization whose mission is to support and strengthen public safety, promote balance in the criminal justice system, and protect the rights of victims recently launched a new website built by POND Collective (formerly SmallPond Studio).
The new website, www.crimevictimsunited.com, was redesigned to make it easier for supporters to access information about the organization’s services, events, fundraising activities, news, and how to get involved. In addition to being more user-friendly for the website’s visitors and the organization’s staff, the site was built with with expanded search engine optimization (SEO) and social media engagement tools.
The new website is a Drupal content management system (CMS), which gives the Crime Victims United marketing team full control over their site’s content, allowing them to edit all text, photos, navigation menus, event listings, and blog posts without the assistance of a webmaster. Additionally, the website was built as a responsive, “Google mobile friendly” site that displays properly across all phone, tablet, and touch devices.

Crime Victims United of California is the only organization of its kind — using education, legislative advocacy and political action to enhance public safety, promote effective crime-reduction measures and strengthen the rights of crime victims. CVU is comprised of two distinct, yet complementary groups — a legislative advocacy arm that works to strengthen victims’ rights laws and a political action committee that lends its endorsement and financial backing to pro-victim candidates.
